STILL HERE. STILL GROWING. STILL TRUSTING GOD.

STILL HERE. STILL GROWING. STILL TRUSTING GOD.

The ME Skincare Story They Don’t See Behind the Posts

There is a side of entrepreneurship that doesn’t always make it to social media.

It isn’t always the beautiful product photos.

It isn’t the exciting notification that another order has been placed.

It isn’t the vendor table filled with products, the new website launch, the new collection, the customer testimony, or the perfectly packaged order waiting to be shipped.

Sometimes entrepreneurship looks like praying over a business when sales are slow.

Sometimes it looks like posting when the engagement isn’t there.

Sometimes it looks like maintaining a website when you wish more people were visiting it.

Sometimes it means continuing to create, learn, improve, market, plan, and believe: even when the numbers haven’t caught up with the vision.

And sometimes success simply looks like being able to say: We are still here.

That is part of the ME Skincare story.

Before ME Skincare Was a Brand, It Was Personal

ME Skincare didn’t begin with dreams of becoming a major skincare company.

It began in 2018 with something much closer to home: my daughter.

What started as something I was creating for her eventually made its way to family members, friends, and coworkers.

Then something happened. People began talking.

People began trying the products. People began sharing.

And this little idea that started within our family began reaching people outside of it.

By 2019, our products were available to the public.

From there, ME Skincare began showing up at local pop-ups throughout California’s High Desert. Eventually, we started attending more vendor events, meeting more people face-to-face, introducing families to our products, and growing awareness one conversation at a time.

There was something special about those days.

Every table setup mattered.

Every person who stopped to ask a question mattered. Every purchase mattered.

Every returning customer mattered.

Every person who told someone else about ME Skincare mattered. And they still do. Then Came the Rebrand

As businesses grow, they sometimes outgrow the version of themselves that first entered the marketplace.

In 2021, we began the journey of rebranding and developing what you now know as ME Skincare.

We were learning. Growing. Changing.

And figuring out how to take something that started personally and build it into something that could serve families beyond our immediate community.

For a period of time, I became a regular vendor at one of our High Desert event venues.

But eventually, something became more important than simply being present at every business opportunity.

My walk with God.

The days, hours, and demands associated with constantly attending events began taking a toll on something I was not willing to sacrifice for business growth: my relationship with the Lord.

So I made a decision. I stepped away.

From a business perspective, someone could have looked at that decision and said, But that’s where your customers are.

From a faith perspective, I had to ask a different question:

What good is growing a business if I become spiritually depleted while building it?

That decision changed how I viewed entrepreneurship.

When Business Doesn’t Go According to the Plan

After stepping away from frequent vendor events, we focused more heavily on social media, our website, word-of-mouth marketing, and occasional events.

And then another reality of entrepreneurship showed up: financial pressure.

Sales weren’t always what they had once been.

Some events didn’t produce the results we hoped for.

Marketing didn’t always immediately convert into purchases.

There were moments when the financial investment required to keep pushing seemed greater than the return coming back.

And if you are an entrepreneur reading this, you may know exactly what that feels like.

You can have an excellent idea.

You can have a real product.

You can have customers who love what you offer.

You can have a website.

You can create content.

You can invest money.

You can study your industry.

You can do “all the right things” and still experience a slow season.

That does not automatically mean the journey is over.

Sometimes it means you are in a season where perseverance is doing work that profit cannot measure yet.

Entrepreneurship Is Not for the Undetermined

Entrepreneurship can be exciting, but it requires something deeper than excitement.

It requires discipline when nobody is applauding.

It requires consistency when a post gets three likes instead of three thousand.

It requires wisdom to know when to invest, and when an opportunity simply does not align.

It requires humility to learn.

It requires patience to grow.

It requires the ability to hear “no” and keep moving.

It requires accepting that sometimes you will make a decision that doesn’t work.

And for ME Skincare, it requires faith.

There have been times when I have wondered why the business isn’t further along.

Why aren’t sales higher?

Why hasn’t this opportunity happened yet?

Why isn’t the brand reaching more people?

But faith reminds me that I don’t have to understand every chapter while I’m living it.

The Bible tells us:

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Galatians 6:9 KJV

That scripture hits differently when you’re building something.

If we faint not.

Not if everything happens immediately.

Not if every month breaks a sales record.

Not if every social media post goes viral.

Not if everybody understands the vision.

If we faint not.

The Kiosk Dream and Learning That Every Good Idea Isn’t the Right Move Right Now

One vision I have considered for ME Skincare is opening a kiosk in our local mall.

I can picture it. The products. The displays.

Customers discovering the brand.

Families being introduced to ME Skincare for the first time.

Seeing something you’ve built represented in a physical retail space can be exciting.

But business also requires wisdom.

After looking at the financial investment, I had to acknowledge something important:

Just because something looks like growth doesn’t necessarily mean it is the right growth for this season.

A beautiful kiosk that financially drains the company would not automatically move us closer to our mission.

Sometimes entrepreneurship means being brave enough to expand.

Other times it means being wise enough to wait.

So for now, we continue building through our website, social media, digital resources, loyal customers, collaborations, word of mouth, and the opportunities God places before us.

And we’re okay with that.

To Our Loyal Customers: You Are Part of This Story

If you have ever purchased from ME Skincare, this section is especially for you. Thank you.

You may see yourself as someone who simply purchased a skincare product.

We see something more.

You helped a small business continue operating.

When you returned for another purchase, you reminded us there was still a reason to keep going.

When you told a family member or friend about ME Skincare, you became part of our marketing team without even realizing it.

When you shared one of our posts, you placed our brand in front of someone we may never have reached ourselves.

When you left or leave a genuine product review, you give another customer information that may help them feel comfortable trying a small business for the first time.

Small businesses aren’t built by algorithms alone.

They’re built by people.

And we are incredibly grateful for ours.

Your Review Is More Powerful Than You Think

Here is a little August challenge for our ME Skincare customers.

If you have purchased and used an ME Skincare product, take a few minutes this month to leave an honest review.

Tell people what you purchased.

Tell them what you liked.

Tell them about your experience ordering from us.

Tell them whether you would purchase again.

Honest customer reviews help other shoppers make informed decisions and they help small businesses build trust.

And if you’ve already reviewed your purchase?

Share our website with someone.
Send them this blog. Tag us in a post.

Mention ME Skincare in a conversation.

Sometimes the most valuable support costs $0.00

Calling Creators, Influencers, Ambassadors & UGC Creators

Maybe you’ve been following ME Skincare but haven’t purchased yet.

You can still be part of our growth.

We want to continue connecting with people who genuinely enjoy creating content and introducing their communities to brands they believe in.

That includes:

  • Brand ambassadors
  • UGC creators
  • Influencers
  • Micro-influencers
  • Lifestyle creators
  • Parent and family creators
  • Beauty and skincare creators
  • Faith-based creators
  • Wellness and natural-living creators
  • Everyday customers who simply enjoy sharing great finds

You don’t necessarily need hundreds of thousands of followers to make an impact.

Sometimes a trusted voice within a small community can be incredibly powerful.

To the Entrepreneur Who Needed to Read This

This August blog may live on a skincare website, but this part isn’t only about skincare.

It’s for the person building something.

Maybe your business isn’t producing the income you expected yet.

Maybe you’re watching other brands grow faster.

Maybe you’ve questioned whether you missed your moment.

Maybe you’ve considered quitting.

Maybe you keep showing up, but privately you’re wondering:

God, is this still what You want me to do?

Pray. Listen. Be willing to pivot. Be willing to wait.

Be willing to change your strategy without abandoning your purpose.

And don’t confuse somebody else’s timeline with God’s direction for your life.

The Word of God says:

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. Psalm 37:5 KJV

For ME Skincare, faith does not mean sitting still and expecting God to run the business for us.

We still have work to do.

We still market.

We still create.

We still post.

We still learn.

We still make business decisions.

We still develop products and resources.

We still look for opportunities.

We still serve our customers.

We still show up.

Faith gives us the strength to keep doing the work while trusting God with what we cannot control.

What If the Slow Season Is Part of the Story?

One day, if ME Skincare grows into the household name we envision it becoming, I don’t want to forget this season.

I don’t want to forget the customers who supported us before everybody knew the name.

I don’t want to forget the posts that didn’t go viral.

I don’t want to forget the events.

The long days. The rebrand. The slow months.

The financial decisions. The prayers. The pivots.

The lessons. The perseverance.

Because if the day comes when people say,

ME Skincare is everywhere!

I want us to remember when we weren’t.

And I want another entrepreneur somewhere to be able to look at our story and realize:

They didn’t become successful because everything was easy.

They kept going.

August Reminder: Small Does Not Mean Insignificant

ME Skincare has been growing in one form or another since 2018.

That’s years of learning.

Years of creating.

Years of serving.

Years of adjusting.

Years of praying.

Years of trying again.

And while the business may not yet be where I envision it ultimately going, I can still be grateful for where God has allowed it to remain.

We’re still operational.

We’re still creating.

We’re still serving.

We’re still believing.

We’re still learning.

We’re still here.

And sometimes before you celebrate the breakthrough, you need to stop and recognize the blessing of survival, perseverance, and another opportunity to keep building.

So here’s to August. Here’s to every loyal customer.

Here’s to every future customer who hasn’t discovered us yet.

Here’s to every person who will share this blog.

Here’s to every creator who may collaborate with us.

Here’s to every entrepreneur building through a slow season.

Here’s to every dream that requires patience.

And here’s to continuing the ME Skincare journey with faith, wisdom, integrity, consistency, and expectation for whatever God has planned next.

We don’t know exactly what the next chapter of ME Skincare will look like.

But we’re still writing it.

And we hope you’ll stick around to read it.
