YOUR SKIN HAS BEEN TALKING. SEPTEMBER IS FOR LISTENING.
Hot Weather, Real Customer Questions & the ME Skincare September Skin Reset
Okay, September….
Can we talk?
Because apparently summer did not receive the memo that it was supposed to start packing its bags.
Here in California’s High Desert, we’ve experienced temperatures climbing as high as 111 degrees.
ONE. HUNDRED. ELEVEN.
At that point, walking outside can feel less like “getting some fresh air” and more like opening the oven to check the cornbread.
And our customers’ skin?
It’s been talking.
Actually, some of it has been YELLING.
Over the past several weeks, we’ve noticed something interesting at ME Skincare. Customers have been reaching out with questions about their infants, children, themselves, their skincare routines, uncomfortable: feeling skin during the heat, and which ME Skincare products might fit into their family’s routine.
And that got us thinking:
Maybe our September blog shouldn’t simply tell you what we’re doing.
Maybe it should answer some of what YOU have been asking.
So grab some water, get somewhere cool, and let’s have a September skin conversation.
LESSON #1: YOUR SKIN DOESN’T READ THE CALENDAR
September may signal pumpkin spice season, fall decorations, football, school schedules and the beginning of cooler weather expectations….
But your skin doesn’t care what month is printed on the calendar.
If it’s 100+ degrees outside, your skin is still experiencing 100+ degree weather.
Heat, sweating, sun exposure, friction, frequent bathing or showering, swimming, air conditioning, clothing, environmental changes and changes in routine can all affect how skin feels.
That is especially worth paying attention to when you’re caring for children or someone whose skin is already dry, sensitive or eczema-prone.
This is why we don’t believe skincare should simply follow trends.
It should follow needs.
Sometimes your skin needs you to stop adding ten more things and pay attention to what it has already been telling you.
WAIT…. SO WHAT SHOULD I USE?
This has become one of the questions we’re hearing. And we love that people ask. Seriously.
We would rather have someone contact us and ask questions than purchase several products simply because they look good online and have no idea where to begin.
One of the things ME Skincare wants to continue growing into is not simply a company that sells products, but a brand that helps customers become more thoughtful about their routines.
For customers looking for a simple approach, we often discuss starting with the basics:
Cleanse gently.
Moisturize.
Pay attention to how your skin responds.
Keep the routine manageable.
Because sometimes skincare doesn’t need a 14-step routine.
Your bathroom counter does not need to look like you opened a chemistry laboratory overnight.
THE “KEEP IT SIMPLE” ROUTINE
For families asking where to begin, two of the products we frequently discuss are our Cleansing Gel or Cleansing Bar, followed by our Hydrating Moisturizing Lotion.
The idea is simple:
STEP 1 — CLEANSE
Choose the cleansing format that works best for you or your family’s routine.
Our Nature’s Bye Bye Itch Cleansing Gel provides a liquid cleansing option for those who prefer a gel.

Prefer a bar?
Our Bye Bye Itch Cleansing Bar provides another option for incorporating cleansing into your routine.

STEP 2 — MOISTURIZE
After cleansing, moisturizing helps support a comfortable skincare routine, particularly when skin tends to feel dry.
Our Hydrating Moisturizing Lotion is one of the products we’ve been recommending customers consider when building a simple routine.

And here’s an important reminder:
More product doesn’t automatically mean better skincare. Consistency matters.
How your individual skin responds matters.
And when it comes to infants and children especially, simple can be a beautiful thing.
BUT I’VE NEVER USED ME SKINCARE BEFORE.…
We hear you. Trying a new skincare brand can feel like a commitment.
You may be thinking:
What if I purchase full sizes and decide they’re not for me?
That’s exactly why trial sizes can be helpful.
Our Nature’s Bye Bye Itch Trial Size Bundle (ME Pak) gives new customers an opportunity to experience selected products before deciding whether they want to incorporate full sizes into their routines.

No pressure. No need to fill an entire bathroom cabinet on Day One.
Start small. Observe. Learn what works for you.
Build from there.
A QUICK WORD ABOUT HEAT RASH & SUNBURN
Because customers have specifically been contacting us about heat related skin concerns, we want to make an important distinction.
ME Skincare products are cosmetic skincare products, not medical treatment for heat rash or sunburn.
If skin is sunburned, getting out of the sun, cooling the skin, staying hydrated and protecting the affected area from further sun exposure are important. Significant blistering, severe pain, fever, dehydration, signs of infection, concerning symptoms in an infant or child, or symptoms that are worsening deserve appropriate medical attention.
Likewise, something that appears to be “just a rash” may have a cause that requires professional evaluation.
We love answering questions about our products, but we never want skincare marketing to replace appropriate healthcare.
That is part of caring for our customers too.
NOW LET’S TALK ABOUT THE OTHER SKIN PEOPLE FORGET….
YOUR SCALP. Yes, your scalp is skin too.
And summer can make it very clear that it would like some attention.
Sweat. Protective styles. Braids. Wigs. Extensions.
Head coverings. Product buildup. Long days in the heat.
And then comes that moment.…
You are trying to look completely normal in public while mentally calculating whether you can discreetly reach the exact spot underneath your protective style that has suddenly decided to itch.
We know the struggle. This is where having an intentional scalp routine can be useful.
PROTECTIVE STYLE DOESN’T MEAN “FORGET THE SCALP”
One of the biggest mistakes people can make while wearing a protective style is focusing completely on the appearance of the hair while forgetting about the scalp underneath it.
A protective style should not mean:
See you in six weeks, scalp. Good luck. Your scalp still deserves attention.
That can include keeping it appropriately clean, avoiding excessive buildup, being mindful of styles that feel painfully tight, and using products in a way that doesn’t overwhelm the scalp.
For customers interested in incorporating an oil into their scalp-care routine, ME Skincare offers our Follicle Shaft Hair Scalp Oil.
It can be incorporated as part of a scalp-care routine for those who enjoy using oils, including people wearing protective styles.

And for those wanting to build out their cleansing routine, our PureMend Scalp Therapy Shampoo Bar provides another scalp-care option.

Remember: scalp conditions such as persistent dandruff-like flaking, eczema, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, unexplained hair loss, sores, infection, significant irritation or ongoing symptoms may require evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional.
Products can be part of a routine. Knowing when you need professional care is part of good self-care too.
SOMETHING ELSE HAS BEEN GROWING AT ME SKINCARE
And it isn’t something we can put into a bottle.
Conversation.
Those customer phone calls we’ve been receiving matter.
The questions matter.
The parent asking what might work best within their child’s routine matters.
The adult trying to figure out where to begin matters.
The person with the protective style asking about scalp care matters.
Because every question teaches us something about what our community actually needs.
That’s growth too.
Growth isn’t always:
“We sold 10,000 units this month!”
Sometimes growth is:
Customers trust us enough to call.
Someone remembered our name when they needed a skincare option.
A previous customer recommended us to somebody else.
Someone came back.
Someone asked a question instead of scrolling past.
Those things may never become viral TikTok statistics. But they matter tremendously to us here at ME Skincare.
CONFESSION FROM THE OWNER: I’M TIRED OF CHASING THE ALGORITHM
Let’s talk about something completely different for a minute.
Going viral. Post at this time. Use this sound.
Make the first three seconds shocking.
Use these hashtags. Don’t use those hashtags.
Post twice a day. No, five times.
Wait…. apparently now we’re supposed to post at 6:43 PM while standing on one foot holding a trending audio and hoping the algorithm notices us.
Okay, maybe we made that last one up. But some days it feels like it.
As the founder of ME Skincare, I can admit that I’ve gotten a little lost trying to understand what supposedly “goes viral,” what boosts the algorithm, what gets likes, what gets shares and what gets views.
And somewhere in all that noise, I’ve had to remind myself:
ME Skincare wasn’t created for an algorithm.
It was created because there was a real need in my own family.
Before followers.…
Before content strategies.…
Before vendor events….
Before websites….
Before wondering whether a Reel would get 200 views or 200,000….
There was purpose. And September feels like a good month to remember that.
WE’D RATHER BE USEFUL THAN VIRAL
Would we love for an ME Skincare post to go viral?
Of course!
We’re not going to pretend we’d be upset if a million people discovered us tomorrow. 😂
But virality without substance isn’t the goal.
We want someone to finish reading an ME Skincare blog and say: I learned something.
We want a parent to feel more confident asking questions.
We want an entrepreneur to feel encouraged.
We want someone to laugh.
We want someone to think.
We want someone to learn something about caring for their skin.
We want someone to discover a product that may fit into their routine.
We want someone to understand more of the story behind this company.
And above everything else, we want to continue operating with integrity and faith.
Because views can disappear tomorrow.
Purpose has to survive the algorithm.
SEPTEMBER’S SCRIPTURE: TRUST GOD BEYOND WHAT YOU CAN SEE
There are seasons in business, and in life, when we simply cannot figure everything out.
And Scripture gives us this reminder:
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5 KJV
And the very next verse continues:
“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:6 KJV
Those are the entire KJV verses, and they’re especially meaningful when you’re building something whose destination you cannot yet see.
I don’t know exactly where ME Skincare will be five years from now.
I don’t know which post might introduce thousands of new people to our brand.
I don’t know which business opportunity might change everything.
I don’t know whether the next major step will look anything like what I once imagined.
But I do know this:
We can work while trusting.
We can plan while praying.
We can learn while listening.
We can pivot without panicking.
And we can acknowledge God while continuing to do the work placed in front of us.
AND YES! THERE IS A SEASON FOR EVERYTHING
September sits in an interesting place.
Summer begins giving way to fall. Schedules change. Children return to school.
Weather eventually begins shifting.
Routines change. And businesses experience seasons too.
The Bible says:
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV
The entire journey doesn’t have to happen in one season.
That applies to skincare. That applies to business.
That applies to personal growth. And that applies to life.
YOUR SEPTEMBER SKIN CHECK-IN
Before September gets away from you, ask yourself a few questions:
How has my skin been feeling lately?
Has the heat changed my routine?
Am I cleansing too aggressively?
Am I moisturizing consistently?
Have I been introducing too many products at once?
If I’m wearing a protective style, am I actually caring for my scalp underneath it?
Is there a skin or scalp concern I’ve been trying to self treat that should really be evaluated by a professional?
And here’s one people often forget:
Do I actually understand why I’m using the products sitting in my bathroom?
Skincare should not simply be something you collect. It should be intentional.
DON’T KNOW WHERE TO START? ASK US.
One thing we want every ME Skincare customer, and potential customer to know is:
You can talk to us.
If you’re looking through our catalog and you’re unsure which ME Skincare product might best fit into your routine, reach out.
You can call us at 800-338-1389.
You can email us at info@meskincare.online.
Or send us a DM on social media:
@meskincare18 on all platforms
We can help explain our products, how they’re intended to be used and how they may fit into a routine.
We won’t diagnose medical conditions, and when something is outside the appropriate scope of cosmetic skincare, we’ll encourage you to speak with a qualified healthcare professional.
Sometimes good customer service isn’t convincing someone to buy something.
Sometimes it’s helping someone make an informed decision.
WANT TO SEE WHAT ELSE WE MAKE?
ME Skincare continues to grow beyond any single product.

But we need our community there with us.

Imagine being able to pull up a chair virtually and watch products being made while asking questions, learning about ingredients, talking skincare and getting to know the person behind the company.
That’s the kind of community we want to continue building.
BEFORE YOU GO….
September’s message is simple:
Listen. Listen to your skin.
Listen when your routine needs adjusting.
Listen when your body tells you something deserves professional attention.
Listen to the people you’re serving.
Listen when a business strategy isn’t working.
Listen when it’s time to stop chasing everybody else’s definition of success.
And most importantly….
Listen for God’s direction.
ME Skincare may not currently be where I once imagined the brand would be by this point.
But we’re learning that growth isn’t only measured by how many orders arrive today.
Sometimes it’s measured by how much wiser you are than when you started.
How much better you serve.
How carefully you listen.
How willing you are to adapt.
How faithfully you continue.
And how many people still trust you enough to pick up the phone and say:
“Hey, ME Skincare…. I have a question.”
We’ll take that kind of growth.
Because maybe the next level isn’t about becoming louder.
Maybe it’s about becoming more useful.
Here’s to September.
Here’s to healthy routines.
Here’s to asking questions.
Here’s to loyal customers.
Here’s to learning.
Here’s to laughter.
Here’s to adjusting when necessary.
Here’s to ignoring the algorithm every once in a while.
And here’s to continuing to build something meaningful, one customer, one conversation, one lesson, one prayer and one step at a time.
